Fall/Winter Must Haves

2020 is a year of many things, some good, and some not so good (obviously). But I think one good thing that has come out of this year is that many people have realized how completely vital healthcare workers are. Not just those on the front lines of this pandemic, but everyone involved in the care from admission to discharge of each patient. It really has been so heart warming to see and even experience as a nurse practitioner. And to be completely honest, I work in the world of pediatrics, which has primarily been unaffected by the pandemic, but it has still been heart warming to feel more appreciated than ever before for the work I do.

There have been many forms of appreciation given to healthcare workers, but the one that I obviously love the most is when certain retailers have offered healthcare workers significant discounts on their branded items. I've ordered from Vineyard Vines and bought stuff from lululemon all at a pretty great discount. But The North Face takes the cake though. They are offering 50% off entire orders for healthcare workers, and you can place a 50% off order once a month until January 1st. Like what?? 50% all items for 4 months? A friend actually told me and I didn't believe her so when I went into the store this past weekend to confirm and sure enough it's true. So if you're a healthcare worker or know of one (wink wink), then you should go stock up for Winter for every person in your family. And a pro tip, you could also start Christmas shopping, although that takes incredible planning and is a skill I have not mastered. Ha.

So here are the things I scored the other day and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't going to order again in October, November and December. I'd be a fool not to. I honestly went to The North Face store looking for this Thermoball jacket that a few other bloggers raved about, but stayed for this super cute snap closure fleece. It's fun and fashionable and a perfect layer to own In Colorado. I also scored stocking hats for my kids and this coat and flannel for my mom. But I could have left with so much more...like this, this and this! I also didn't even snag anything for the hubs because I was unsure of what he needed. So basically I need to regroup for next month. Anyhow if you are in need of some outerwear and work as a healthcare provider, it is your lucky day/months ahead.
