Men's Gift Guide

You guys we have six more Mondays (including today) until Christmas and seven more Mondays left in this decade. I mean it's easy to say "where has this year gone, but it's insanely crazy to think "where has this decade gone?" Time flies and keeps flying faster and faster when children are added to the equation. People always told me that, and it is true. Anyhow, I'm going to make these last few Mondays of the year a little more exciting. I'm going to release a new gift guide or a holiday look book, so everyone has a few ideas for gifting if you run into trouble and a few holiday outfit ideas if you need a little inspiration. I'll rotate between both and if you have any must add ideas, email me or DM me on Instagram.

So without further ado, I'm starting with my Men's Gift Guide. Men typically are the hardest to buy for, or at least the men in my life are. They want for nothing, never think they need anything and if they long for something, they typically buy it themselves so they get the right thing. I don't want to label all men, but the most important men in my life fit that mold. So I'm posting this one early so you can get a jump on buying for your favorite fellas. I will say though, my husband will wear about anything I buy him and typically is happy with a cool electronic gadget so I can't complain too much.

Our motto in our house this year is to buy less but purchase high quality items. So I'm casting that onto you too via my gift guides. ;) These particular gifts were vetted and debated on over Saturday morning coffee with the hubs, so they're top notch and every item got his firm stamp of approval. Let's get to it, shall we....

  1. AirPods- Need I say more? I got these for AK last Christmas and he uses them every.single.day. He absolutely loves them and I do too. I typically confiscate them on the weekend to use for a long run or walk or I'll listen to a podcast/book while I fold laundry and pick up our house. Just a few weeks ago I accidentally washed them (it's a LONG story that we DO NOT need to rehash) in our washing machine, and the sheer disappointment on AK's face said it all- he treasures these babies. If you're wondering a night in a bowl of rice had them back in action the next day. Thank goodness for me. But they are worth every dollar and are actually on the top of my Christmas list too!

  2. Shinola Watch- AK is from Michigan so he and the kids rep a lot of Sparty gear (I'm not quite there yet- Go Hawks!), he wears a Shinola watch, and we drink Michigan brewed beer when we can. Can you blame us? If you don't know, Shinola is based out of Detroit, MI. But the quality of these watches is pretty great and Shinola's customer service is top notch. Not only that, they are stylish and they have plenty of options sure to match your guy's taste.

  3. Leather Boots- It's no surprise I'm putting some Frye boots on this gift guide, but any type of leather boots would be nice for any guy. AK actually prefers a pair of Johnson & Murphy boots that he owns, but they no longer make them and I prefer the look of these for this particular purpose. Frye boots are classic, they last forever and are meant to be worn. The leather is soft, the quality is 100 and they feature a plethora of different styles. And from now until December 3rd you get a $100 gift card if you spend $400. Makes the investment a little more tolerable.

  4. Meat Thermometer- This gift idea is meant for a meat lover, and I don't know many guys that don't love meat. Although we try and limit the amount of red meat that we eat, we do like a good protein dish at our house. AK has a Green Egg smoker and has mastered pulled pork, wings, brisket, etc all with the help of this meat thermometer. It links to a smart phone and you can watch the temperature of your meat via their app. We can be anywhere (the park, church, a friends house), and all of a sudden, AK will say, "my meat is almost done, we gotta go!" It's pretty cool, because smoking meat can consume an entire day if you do it right, but with the use of this thermometer you have some freedom and aren't married to your house for an entire day. Technology at its finest.

  5. Golf Laser Rangefinder- If your guy likes to golf, I hear this is a must have. I don't know much about golf and would never attempt to give golf tips/advice, but AK has this and thinks it's pretty cool. Plus it's a fun gadget to support a hobby that your guy maybe wouldn't buy for himself. A special treat if you will. I mean, you do not need a laser rangefinder to play a round of golf, but it could add to the fun and be useful if a little elf decided to put it under the Christmas tree.

  6. JCrew Cashmere Sweater- This is a sweater that would make anyone happy- a dad, FIL, husband, a papa, a guy you haven't been dating that long, etc. This is a classic gift that you cannot go wrong with. It can be worn with jeans and/or dress pants and it will never go out of style. You can also have it monogrammed if your favorite fella(s) is into that. AK owns two of these (in charcoal and navy) and I always think he looks so sharp in the Winter when he wears them. The charcoal one is actually featured in the pictures above. In a nutshell, this is a crowd pleaser type of gift at a very fair price point.

That's a wrap on my 2019 Men's Gift Guide. I hope it was helpful, and let me know if you have any questions. As I mentioned, all these items are tried and true by the #1 guy in my life.

Now hop to it.....you have some shopping to do. :)

Cheers,

AFK
